Wisdom from On High

Now that the government shutdown is over the debacle of the Healthcare.gov website is first and foremost in the news.

The entire site is an abject failure of astronomical proportions because it has not worked since day one. Now, almost a month later the Obama administration has decided to bring in the A team of technology to fix what is broken, but can they and why did it not work in the first place? We will hear many reasons and all about who is to blame and how the government bit off more than it could chew. Though much we learn will be true, there is one thing which needs to be addressed and it is the answer to so many questions of what is wrong in the world and why things occur. Found in Ephesians 4: 17-18 it is written:

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:”

The short answer is there is no godly wisdom in the world and though many think degrees and awards denote the ability to discern the answer to problems the truth is true wisdom only comes from On High. This has been proven over and over again and now the world is in a downward spiral and where one wrong decision could collapse our national economy. In their foolhardy attempt to take over the private sector the government may have just caused a major crisis because now that many are losing their insurance and an Obamacare policy will be more expensive to purchase Main Street is worried, and with good reason. Also after spending almost $650 million on a website which nobody is able to access it will now cost the taxpayer an exorbitant amount to repair or replace the system. At this point Barack Obama looks as foolish as the man Jesus spoke about in Luke 14: 28-30:

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.”

With the promises everyone would have health insurance and those who already had a policy could keep it as well as be able to retain their doctor, we were sold a heavenly scenario by the President and his minions in the Democrat Party, it now appears to be more akin to hell on earth. Consumers have lost not only their health insurance and doctor, but some have even lost their jobs in an economy where there are few to be had.

Though it could be called an American tragedy it is, in reality, an American travesty perpetrated by the government upon its people and those who supported the ACA should hang their heads in shame for the thought of it in the first place. Yet, they still refuse to admit the error of their ways and continue to tell us it will be successful which is, in truth, utter folly. Then again, when someone walks in darkness how can you expect them to see where they are going? Without God there is no wisdom and it is written in Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

In a world where man is elevated there is none higher and God, who is the Supreme Intellect, must be disregarded lest man be shown to be the fallible creature he is. This is foolishness and anyone who knows Scripture knows what happens to those who put themselves in this position. In Isaiah 44: 6 the Lord tells us “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” Satan was the first to be taught this lesson and you would think man would have learned from his example and those who went before them, but where there is no Wisdom from On High one is devoid of any ability to comprehend that which only can be discerned by the Spirit.

To compensate for lack of wisdom man will lie and deceive and such is the lesson of Obamacare. Will the website ever work? I just heard it will be fixed by the end of November but can we believe it? Even so, will those who are young and healthy sign up at the price which they are required to pay? The first might be possible but the latter is, in my opinion, highly improbable. So what happens from here? Until godly people sit in places of power nothing will change and the nation will continue in decline. However, it can be saved but it will require the Body of Christ to awaken from its slumber and rise up in numbers and in unity to speak as one in Christ Jesus. Only we can bring light into the darkness and truth where lies have deceived. May God grant us His wisdom as we go forward to victory in His Name. Amen.

“That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.” (Col. 2: 2-4)

Hope

The other day I heard a Republican strategist say the GOP needs to find a way to bring a positive message to the American people, a message of hope. Isn’t this what Ronald Reagan did; lifted people up, gave the country a vision and instilled hope in the American psyche? Yes, and for all of us who remember him hope was Reagan’s legacy to us and our children, but it has since been lost, mowed under and trampled upon by those whose vision is one of bondage instead of freedom and servitude to government rather than government serving the people. For the last five years we have heard a president who had promised hope only try to steal whatever hope we had to where now some are hopeless and are unable to see the light of the shining city on a hill because of the darkness which has pervaded our society.

Yet, we are a people of hope who serve the God of hope and whose hope is ours for the taking. We will never find hope in the world because a system invented by man and controlled by the forces of darkness can never bring hope. Hope is a gift of God and from God to His people and there is none other than God to bestow it. Ronald Reagan knew this because he knew the Lord and knew where our hope originates; not in the government but in God who is love. Those who do not know God will never have hope and will never know the grace by which we receive it. However we, like the Great Communicator, can use what the Spirit of Grace has provided us to help others see our vision for a nation returned to righteousness and a land of liberty where all will be free to pursue their own vision of the American dream.

We have the message to bring but we must also have the hope the Lord will, by His grace, send it forth so that all might see and know what we do.

“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.”
Psalm 31:24

It is going to take courage and lots of it because the fight is going to require battling those who, in the world’s eyes, are far superior to us. Yet, if God is for us who can be against us and win? Last night and this morning as I listened to and watched the video of Amy Grant singing “El Shaddai” I saw just WHO we serve; the God of Glory and Might and it is only with, in and through Him we can and will do this. May we humbly accept His call and may His will be done. Amen.

Prayers Of Righteous Men

There is no question that America was founded by men who held a strong belief in the Bible and referred to it as they challenged Great Britain, and more specifically, King George III when they wrote the Declaration of Independence. These were men of prayer up against great odds. With a sparsely armed militia made up of farmers and country folk and with very little training they fought against one of the most powerful armies in the world. They defeated tyranny with prayer, faith, and a strong conviction that God’s will would prevail.

They didn’t stop there. They then prayerfully created a document acknowledging that God is the supreme being and that there are a certain amount of rights and freedoms that are given by God and that no man and no government has the right to take away. They wrote the United States Constitution and gave us the Bill of Rights which ensured that the power belonged to We the People and that we would retain our rights.

Every person who has held a national elected office has taken an oath to defend the Constitution. Never in our history has any politician come so close to defying that oath and it is not just one man but many politicians who hold office at this time. These politicians have begun criminalizing citizens for exercising the rights that we are guaranteed. We are being lead by men who do not know the difference between right and wrong. Their hearts are given to evil and they have misled many others who follow them.

The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jer. 17:9

The founding fathers knew that the heart could be deceived and therefore designed the American Constitution as a set of laws that apply equally to each citizen with no favoritism to anyone, whether they are a police officer, a legislator, or even the president. Each person has a responsibility to follow the laws or be punished accordingly. The Constitution is the most well thought out and effective document ever written to govern a free society. But it requires honest men to safeguard it. Unfortunately, dishonest men have taken the oath and are corrupting the Constitution and working hard to destroy it.

There is no truth that can be drawn from the politicians and the media. They do not know truth. They change the rules each day and while we are still fighting yesterdays battle they have already moved on to tomorrows, leaving us flustered and confused. We are in war, not of idealism, but of good against evil. It is a spiritual battle. Those who reject the teaching of the Lord are given to Satan. This is a battle which has no earthly weapons, only prayer, faith, and a strong conviction that God will prevail. Without God we cannot win this battle. Even a civil war is useless if we continue to reject our Savior.

God always has a perfect plan. But God does not impose His perfection on a people who do not ask for it. They will not appreciate it. His plan is ready to be utilized; He wants His people to pray to Him, to have a relationship with Him. He wants men to honor Him, to love and trust him and know that He is a God who keeps His word. He wants us to pray earnestly without ceasing and then He will hear us.

The founding fathers understood this and they were blessed with victory over a superior army. Due to their understanding of man's propensity towards evil, they were able to write the best document outside of the Bible, ever published to a free nation for over two hundred years.  America is a country that almost three million men and women have died or been wounded in combat trying to protect. America is a country that many people have risked their lives to come to and make a better life for themselves and their families. America is worth getting on our knees to save.

We need to understand this too. We need to be like the founding fathers. Build your faith in Christ and then allow Him to work in you. Through worldly eyes the odds are not in our favor, but our God is at the helm and He will not let us down.  The victory is ours.  Fellowship and keeping the dialogue with others is a good thing but we need to avoid useless arguments with those whose hearts are closed to the truth. Encourage each other daily. Pray not so much for the country as for the hearts of men to be broken. For when men take responsibility and govern themselves, the nation will follow.

Jesus replied,”…I tell you the truth, if you have
faith as small as a mustard seed, you can
say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’
and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20

The Question of Why, The Answer by Faith

No one really can ever explain the answer to the ‘why’ questions on this side of heaven.

Throughout the Bible, we see God’s righteous judgments, His Holiness and His compassion.   We see His compassion to David in the Psalms, and we see His absolute love for us in the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus.

We see hardship throughout as well, yet, if we pay attention, we see one thing which is present in most of those hardships.  Faith.  Faith and dependence on God.

For myself, I have been in places especially since being born again in Christ where I have had to trust and depend solely on the Lord, because there were things that no human had the power to change.  At some times, when I have been at the end of my rope, at the end of myself, God has been the only  One who has delivered me.

Like so many in the Bible, I have seen the works of God, yet when things get better for a little while, I tend, like so many, to slip back into the comfort zone of just doing my own thing, which always seems to end in a mess.

For me, as it is with all believers, it is through adversity and the darkest times when we come closer to the Lord. It is through the trials in our lives where our Father is telling us to “Be still and know that I AM God.”   It is through our heart aches and breaks that He uses them to develop our faith and trust in Him.

We are not just fighting a physical earthly battle for good, we are meant to fight in the spiritual battle that has gone on unseen around us since the day man fell into sin.  Christians in the west for the most part have never had to deal with or suffer real persecution that our brothers and sisters in other parts of the world have suffered.  We need to be able to cope with adversity, especially in spiritual battles.  Things are happening in our country and around the world right now that show us the spiritual battle is ramping up, and the Lord is calling us to man the battle stations.

He doesn’t need unseasoned warriors.

Some people I love dearly are facing incredibly hard things in their lives right now.  Some seem to be given more than most people to deal with.  Some are what I can only compare by saying they are modern day Job, in having more and more heartache, hardest circumstances and dark valleys.

I don’t have the answers for all the ‘whys’, especially for my friends, no matter how much I wish I did.  But God does.  Even if He seems silent throughout, which many times He has been with me as well, it is because He is working on us. Conditioning and strengthening us.

Many times I have been on my knees, crying out to Him, either for me or for someone I love, and while hoping for an immediate answer that will make all things right, things don’t happen that way.  The thing is though, that He plants the truth in my spirit, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” 2 Corinthians 12:9

It is when I am weak and can’t hang on, that His strength is revealed, and that faith and trust is also being strengthened.  No matter how hard and painful things may be, or become, trust that God is working.  When the battles seem to be never ending, that is when God is working.  Hold tight and allow your faith to be strengthened.

God loves those who trust in Him. He will never leave nor forsake those who are His own.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39

Welcome to Liberty's Light

Welcome to Liberty's Light brought to you by the Constitutional Freedom Party, the party of life and liberty and all which God and our founders created these United States of America to be. For over two hundred years we in America have been the shining city on a hill to generations of those who have come for a better life for themselves and their children, all with hope in their heart that they could live the American dream we all share. So it has been, yet now it seems we must fight once again for that which our founders gave us, a land where our God rules and reigns, men are free and all honor and appreciate our Constitution and other founding documents.

Liberty's Light is not your typical political blog because as you will find our posts have a different perspective, one based upon the Christian Judeo ethic and where the Holy Writ is applied to our political landscape. In this land which has been blessed by God some have taken the effort to remove our Creator from His rightful place among us, but not here. It is here in our posts where you will find hope for a restored nation, a nation once again one under God. Though we are not here to preach or teach you will find salve for your soul even if in the knowledge you are not alone. We are many throughout the land and we have only just begun but with faith in God, in our nation and in ourselves and our children we will restore America, not just to her former greatness but to a new level of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Please check back often for our posts. We look forward to bringing the light of liberty to you.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made  In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1: 1-5)
